Keep a useful learning record

A simple notebook exercise you can use before the Scholar service is ready. It does not calculate mastery or issue a credential.

Write the goal

Choose something you want to explain or do. A concrete goal makes it easier to select useful practice.

Keep an example of your work

Save an answer, sketch, explanation or small project. Note which help or references you used.

Record the uncertainty

Write down a question you still cannot answer. Keep uncertainty visible rather than polishing the record into a story of uninterrupted success.

Return to the task

At a later time, try a related task and compare what you can do. Record the conditions and support used again.

Choose a next step

Decide whether to revisit a prerequisite, attempt a harder example or explore another branch. Your record supports the decision; it does not need to become a permanent label.

Try it

Create four headings in a notebook: goal, work, uncertainty and next step. Add one dated entry from something you studied today.
